Sony has updated it's list of PS2 Incompatible PSX Games. It has been confirmed
that 29 PSX Games don't work on the Japanese PS2 and most likely this list will be bigger.

Famitsu Online has released some rather interesting news that Sony will be releasing a re-designed PlayStation console late this year in Japan. This new PSX will be smaller & lighter and will have a price tag of $89.99. For now Sony has not been willing to comment on this new PSX.

Electronics Boutique, one of the largest gaming retailers in the US, has reported that they've sold more PS2 pre-orders than total Sega DreamCast systems to date. At this rate, Sony's first shipment of 1 million PS2 systems, scheduled for October 26, will sell out sometime in June.

Interact has not yet confirmed it yet but sources close to them claim that the company is currently making their newest edition of their cheat peripheral, the Game Shark, for the PS2. The device will be called Game Shark 2 and will be released on the same day as the US launch for the PlayStation 2.

Last Tuesday, the San Francisco District Court threw out almost all aspects of Sony's attempt to block the sale of VGS on the grounds of copyright and trademark infringement. The verdict follows last February's appeal win by Connectix against a preliminary injunction granted to Sony last year which prevented the software developer from shipping VGS... Sony US President Kazuo Hirai demonstrated the Hard Drive for the US PS2, which will be released October 26th. The hard Drive will fit in the PS2 expansion bay, a Modem will also go in there. Check the MPEG Demonstration at PS2Web.

The North American version will come with a slot for a hard drive and port for an Internet connection, positioning it to be the jack-of-all-trades of the living room, playing games, music and movies downloaded from the Internet

The company also announced that it plans to build a broadband network that it said will be a new form of the Internet for home entertainment. But no details were available on its network plans, except that it would be built using open industry standards with partners who are yet to be announced

The competition between Sony and Sega heated up today at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) trade show in Los Angeles, with Sega announcing a variety of partnerships, an upgraded Web browser and a new discounted pricing plan, all designed to steal some of Sony's momentum with its PlayStation2.

Sega will discount the Dreamcast by $50, for a limited time, bringing the price of the Dreamcast down to $149, compared with $299 for the PlayStation2.

Virtual Game Station 1.4 is the first update to the Mac emulator since Connectix was able to have a temporary injunction lifted in federal courts this past February. For a year, Connectix had been unable to distribute the software to retailers because of a court ruling in Sony's favor -- a ruling that Connectix was able to overturn on appeal.

• At the browser screen, select the CD icon then press and hold square and then circle until the DVD menu appears, holding both buttons all the time.
• Then there are two ways to play the movie; you can either select the play icon or the movie start icon which is in the middle to the far left. If one doesn't work the other one will.
